It all started on Bumble and nearly 4 years later we are getting married! Our first date was at Il Dolce Pizzeria & Restaurant in Costa Mesa. Of course, Cheryl called and was running late. Me being annoyed with online dating apps and the restaurant closing in 20 minutes said, "hurry up.., why are you late on our 1st date."

I later found out Cheryl called her sister Carmina and said, "Can you believe he told me to hurry up? I'm not going!" Carmina said, "Just go, have fun..you never know."

The dinner was fantastic. The funny part is we literally lived 1 block apart. We mingled and started sharing our favorite eats in the area. I told Cheryl my new favorite pizzeria on Harbor Blvd. called Ciao! Ciao was Carmina's Pizzeria. The rest is history and continues to be written....

4 years ago, we met on Bumble - a dating website where the girl has to make the first move. Hesitantly, I messaged him. Not because of him, but because I was sick of dating. He had a nice smile and seemed like a fun person. I always knew that when you meet your person, you just know. There was something about him...

We met for dinner... he was bossy and I was annoyed. After some time together, I found a man that was genuine and very open and caring. He was an open book. He's a talker - he starts each story with "long story short" and we all know it's "long story long" hehe but still - I found that very refreshing. After the first date, he tried to call me last minute to hang out and I said maybe. He then asked me on a proper date and that was it. I knew he was the one after my dog chewed his backpack, belt, and shoes... I told him that Lenny and I are a package deal, and he said OK. :) *Lenny is his best Gurlo now.*

I made a list before I met him and revisited it recently. I was surprised that he checked all the boxes...
